Social-Ecological Transformation
The climate crisis and the rapid loss of biodiversity call for a social-political change in mindset and action as well as a fundamental change in the way our economies work. Our vision is a ‘good life for all’ within the planetary boundaries, with the aim of achieving a fair distribution of global prosperity.
This requires involving all people in shaping the social-ecological transformation, allowing them to participate in the necessary change processes and highlighting both the local and global dimensions. During our youth exchanges and training it is important for us, to not only share theoretical knowledge about sustainability, economic growth and the use of resources with young people, but also to enable them to experience cooperation, creativity and self-efficacy.
Based on a „civic education for sustainable development “, our projects go beyond individualisation. We take a critical look at the exploitation of people and nature and empower participants to get involved in the environmental and socio-political issues necessary for change and to consider the systemic level.
Together, we want to try out alternatives that are not only ecologically sustainable, but also democratic and based on solidarity.
